Hi Guys,

I'm totally new to the Blackberry world. For some unfathomable reason I bought a secondhand Blackberry Pearl 8100 in Australia. It seems to have been with a Canadian carrier (Rogers). I am currently using a pre paid Vodafone sim card in it and can access the internet-but am charged at a premium rate.

Since my BB can use wireless i was wondering if there was an application I could add that would allow me to see and connect to all other open wireless/ wifi servers within my range?

The 8100 does not have WiFi, if that is what you are speaking of.

Wireless is not WiFi.

Why are you being charged a premium rate? I think you can get an internet package from Vodafone that will cost you around £5 for 500mb of data. Without this you will be charged per mb... Much much more expensive.

Only the 8120 Pearl has wifi.
