Do you a .rem extentsion on the pictures?

You should be able to drag and them to your desktop, and them open them.

Options - media card, is encryption turn on?

you could try associating the file extension with the windows picture viewer you want to use

click start, my computer
then click Tools and folder options
then click file types

i doubt rem will be there in that list so you could click the new button and follow on from there.

There's your issue. You have encryption on. Your pictures are encrypted and can only be viewed on your device.

If you are copying from the SD card to the PC, just turning the encryption off isn't going to fix it. I believe Roxio can't get them off either.

You have several choices to get them off the BB to the PC.

1) Send them to yourself via email from the BB, or mms if small enough.
2) Send them via bluetooth to the PC.
3) Convert them on the BB by turning media encryption off and moving the file to the device memory or another folder. You can then move them back or not. This will take the encryption off and you can copy them to the PC.
4) Use an uploading program like Flick or itookthisonmyphone.com.

1,2, and 4 can be done without removing the file encryption. The BB takes it off when sending and the file remains encrypted on the BB.

You want to leave file encryption turned on while performing the steps mentioned above.

Once you get everything unencrypted that you want, turn the encryption off and do a battery pull.

We have had some loooong threads discussing how to remove the .rem extentions and we have had many different results using different methods.

In some cases it was as easy and remove the .rem extensions and in other occasions the steps mentioned above had to have been taken.
