Then if there is an issue with the server, thousands of people are gonna have the same issue.

Has anyone successfully downgraded? Nick tried it earlier and was not successful at doing so. Now I see another user is having the same issue, although I recommended to Nick like someone posted earlier, to do a wipe, then to uninstall all versions but the one you want. However, when I wiped to try to get around the BES issue I noticed that the Blackberry start screen stays as well. Me thinks the update did something thats permanent and I do hope that we are not stuck with OS v5

I just went back to .247. I uninstalled ALL versions from my PC. Wiped with JL_Cmder, installed .247 on my PC, ran Loader.exe, ran a restore of my .247 backup, and then activated on BES. All is good and back to where I was this morning.

nevermind sesme, we posted at about the same time.
seems strange that uninstalling all Os from your PC then dl'ng and reinstalling .247 wouldn't work

I did the same as mckinneycm. But I can not get any program to do a full wipe and I get stuck at a hung 5. start screen saying reload software.
Any suggestions to forcing the 247 back on?

Older version of Wallet didn't work. I downloaded the new one, but I can't seem to find it (not on home screen, not in downloads or applications).
Everything else appears to be fine. Obviously, the OS is not as responsive as 4.6.

I finally got mine back to .247. What a bi*ch that was. lol
Moved away all versions except .247 from the loader files folder.
Wiped it. Error on the screen about no software.
Opened loader.exe, it said no software available. So I browsed for my blackberry.alx file in my .247 folder and added it. Nothing happened so I got sad. Then about 15 seconds later, it showed the 4.6 base software listed.
So I installed that. But when my bold started up, it was still the 5.0 loading screen.... which it ended up stopping at about 30% of the way. Wasn't frozen, I could press the Alt key and see it show in the top right corner.
So I did an alt+cap+del and reset it. While it was blank with the red LED, I ran the loader.exe program again and it finally said that my software was newer and gave me the option to overwrite. So I went through that and it was all good. WOOT!

Mine did too. But that's when I waited and watched it and it suddenly showed up in the list.

Overall Build Review:
I have noticed some missed key strokes. very occasionally though. added buttons for dropdown menus make them easier to identify and use. Flag for followup in email is nice. overall, i have noticed considerably better speed in all of the phone. browser is way faster. the Files app will be nice for accessing network files once i get a service book for it. VMM was removed from the build. there is an option in any message box (sms, messages, email boxes, etc.) called Message alerts. i havent figured it out what it does yet. BBM looks much better. cal log is now double lined and looks much better. i seem to have considerably more free file space as well.
the profiles option now has all the options of the Storm. i really like this os. im just kinda ticked that Facebok and Slacker dont work. ill wait on this and see how it plays out

Wow...I downloaded the 5.0 OS before I left for work this morning with plans to load my Bold with it this evening...but, I'm glad I read all this.
Looks like I'll be hanging with .247 for the time being...at least until this build becomes an "official" release instead of more an alpha than even a beta...
BTW...does 5.0 include the app for Visual Voicemal...that has to be removed to regain the native voicemail notificaion?

i have found nothing leading to any kind of VVM app. however, this is an ub-carrier-branded software update. it was not intended for ATT specifically, so im sure ATT will add it when they release an official version
