Question Can I seperate the Messages Folder to only show Enterprise (work) email?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello! I just got a new Pearl. I love it. It was just synced up to my work Enterprise server and everything is working well. However I also have a GMAIL account synced up to my Pearl and all the messages for Work (enterprise) are being intertwined with the GMAIL ones. Is there a way for the Messages Folder (for my enterprise work email) to ONLY display my Enterprise/ Work emails? Right now it also displays texts, missed calls, voicemails and GMAIL messages. I have all of those set up in different folders though.

I've searched and searched and can't find out how. Please help. Thanks!

DC Pearl

I'll think about it- thanks for the suggestion!

Anything free I can download? Any settings I can change? Thanks!

No settings inherently onboard for this, you will need a thrid aprty app of some kind. The Messages folder was designed to be the "master" folder for all e-mail accounts.

Depending on the version of BES, a new folder could be created for enterprise mail.

This impacts all users on the BES, not just an individual user.

thanks for all the helpful tips. I am using Gmail for my personal mail and just downloaded a separate app (free) that doesn't' filter into the main Message folder. So my problem was solved. Feel free to close this thread.

Yea what was the app? I am looking for something to do this also.

I also want something to give me a folder for the text/sms messages too. I get so many emails from work and the txts get buried in the messages folder and I miss them all the time. Will your app do this also?

Go into Messages > Options > General Options > SMS & Email = Separate.

COOL!! that is what I am looking for! that did not work the same on the 4.1 version I was using last week! I upgraded to 4.5 on monday.

Now it puts them under the app folder, can I put a icon to them on my main screen like the messages icon and my gmail messages icon?

That gives you an SMS/MMS icon on your homescreen. It depends on your theme. Try moving the SMS/MMS icon to one of the first 5 icons and it should put it on your homescreen.

My sms icon is under the applications folder. If I try to move it, it only moves in the apps folder. No icon on my home screen.

I am not sure how it got there. Go into your apps folder, highlight the SMS icon, press the menu key, select move, drag it over to the first icon (should be a folder and should say Move Up). That should move it to your homescreen. From there you should be able to make it one of your first 5 icons.
