Default BB 7290 w/ Acura HFL

Has anyone discovered a way to initiate a call from the BB, i.e., look up a contact, click dial and have the BB dial the call and somehow then be able to have the HFL automatically pick up the call? I have tried the above, but the HFL does not know I have made a call and doesn’t pick it up. I have experienced poor results with the "transfer" command, it usually won't work the first time you try and by the time the transfer is successful, the person you called has hung up because they think no one is there!
Any ideas??
Thanks.

I work at an Acura dealer in the Finance dept. My wife has a TL and currently my demo is a TL. I have a 7105T on the way. When it gets here I will verify this....

IIRC you can initiate the call on the phone then push your HFL button on the wheel and say transfer call and it is supposed to pick up in the car. I am not 100% sure, but it seems that way back when they trained us on these cars, thats what I seem to remember.

Like I said, you can try it, or I will try it when my new unit arrives.

My wife has a 2005, and my demo is a 2006. Not sure if there were any changes in the tech...

Ok, I was able to make a call from my phone and just hit the HFL button and say transfer call and it popped right into the car, no problems. This was performed in my company demo, 2006 model.

I have had good success with my transfer command. I initiate the call on the phone and as soon as it starts to ring, I do the transfer command and I dont have any problems.

Click the wheel, switch the call to handset, then click the wheel, and switch the call to handsfree. Works every time. Of course, you shouldn't have to do this, but considering Acura can't make their iPod link work either I don't think they really care. Buy a BMW - they just work.

The transfer comand works for me about 85% of the time. The othe 15 I just have to repeat it a second time. It needs to be fairly quiet in the car I.E windows up and moonroof closed.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

There should be a warranty fix for this. Call Acura and complain, if enough do maybe they can flash an upgrade.
