Hi all, I downloaded Pandora less then a week ago which is a cool app, the problem im having is it continues to pause periodically while listening to music which is very irritating. Is there anything i could do or would i have to delete the app which is something i dont want to do, any suggestions appreciated...thx.

Hmm. I dont know why you are having a problem. Make sure your other apps are closed. Go to alt + esc

I downloaded today and had the same problem. I thought it was me even though it was on my desk while I was working. Glad to know I'm not crazy!

Is it pausing at the end of the song and not going to the next? If so, sign out ( not shut down) out of the application and do a reboot of the device. I had the problem and and that seemed to fix it.

No, it's while I'm listening to a song. It pauses throughout. I closed all my apps.

Ok....not sure what was wrong. But, it's working fine for me tonight at home. Shouldn't have anything to do with being at work. However, I will check it tomorrow when I get in and see if it starts doing the same thing. Funny thing though is I downloaded Slacker since I was having problems with Pandora and there is a funny noise going on in the background like a crackling sound. Not sure why. I liked listening to the comedy channel!!

For me Pandora works at home without any problem. Not sure if it's because I'm on wifi when I get home or not. But, I did go to my permissions and chose allow for everything. So you may want to check that as well. Also, if I continue to have problems at work I'm going to go in and change my APN settings to what I had on my 8820 (wap.voicestream.com) instead of what is on it right now (epc.tmobile.com).

A little info for those unfamiliar with streaming audio/video apps.

They are in a constant cycle of downloading content from an origin server. The application is designed to download the audio or video data faster than it is being played back. This is called "buffering". When the speed of play exceeds the rate of buffering (download), the user will experience pauses until the buffer fills back up, and the audio/video will resume.

A weak signal, low memory available, or reduced bandwidth due to other apps or processes running on the device, will all contribute to a slower buffer/download rate.

3G and Wifi use will increase the rate of buffering, as will a strong (5 bars) cell tower signal.
