I was at a function hosted by RIM two weeks ago and one of the RIM staff had a really nice case. It looked like the Vertical Active Holster for the 7290. Maybe they are compatible?

I would have given this one a try if it shipped before Dec 29th. It looks nice.

Which Fortte case did you get? The flip open one looks interesting. Kind of like my old Palm case. It looks like it would provide some protection if it fell while you were using it.

I wonder if the case gets in the way of any of the buttons.

I ordered the vertical pouch (sleeve) version. I like the protection of the lid version but feared it it get it my way.

Here's one that's both expensive *and* unattractive. It looks like my Aunt's old glasses case with a strap.

And what is the "reliable rare-earth" magnet? Is that a super magnet?
