Default Junk Pushed to Phone

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else get a bunch of junk pushed to their phone today. For some reason I had a locked up phone when I woke up, the clock was about four hours behind and the phone was unresponsive. When I restarted I was gifted with about eight new icons I didn't have before, Tetris, MobiTV, mobile banking, Scrabble, Pac Man, My cast weather, etc.
I assume I can't rid of these, I just have to move/hide them, unless someone knows different something I don't. Is this AT&T or RIM doing this?

Wirelessly posted

That's your carrier pushing down applications that they think you should get. You can either delete them or hide them, but you can get rid of them.

I recommend that you hide them as if you delete them then the next time you do a battery pull or your carrier resends the service books they will come back.

Maybe I'll just send a bunch of useless trash when I mail my bill in, see how they like that.
This is getting ridiculous.

Yeah. . . I found several new items I don't want when I upgraded. Just hid them. As someone else already pointed out, if you delete them, they'll just come back next time you do a hard reset.

In the big scheme of things it's not a big deal, but it still irritates me, too.

That would be hilarious. I am actually considering it, but I'm kind of worried about the service I would recieve after that, or any other ramifications...

So annoying that you can't just delete that stuff!

This is one case where I wish Rim would follow Apple's lead. Apple will not allow AT&T to sell the iPhone with AT&T installed junkware.
