You're not an idiot.

So, if your BIS accont is working.. PIN and BBM, good.

Let me suggest this... go sign up for a free GMail account.

And then set it up in the BIS... follow the instructions, very simple, just needs to know your email address and password.

Thanks, but I can't actually do it from the website either. It gives the exact same error message. It lets me verify my pin and imei, then when I hit ok it gives the error message.

Are you trying it now with a gmail account, or with a work-related account?

rhoarock

You don't need to input any PIN or IMEI, or verify it. You said your PIN and BBM messaging was working. Just signin to your BIS account. You will then add a new email account.

Right I understand that. I tried that, it gives me the same message that my phone gives me "we apologize there was an error trying to access the service." Please try again. The Tmobile reps have also walked me through that option as well.

I'm just frustrated because I have $400 invested in a device and am under contract. In all likely hood, it would cost upwards of $800 to switch carriers.

How do I set up BlackBerry Internet E-mail using a My T-Mobile Account?

rhoarock, listen up, please answer these questions:

1. You can sign in to your Tmobile BIS account, with your user name and password, right? (NOT the create new account button, you already have that created, if you have PIN and BBM working; no PIN and IMEI needed for this).

2. When you login to that, what do you see... what choices?
It should look similar to this:

JSanders....I actually have never seen those screen caps you have displayed. The reason is, as soon as I get into the email setup it gives me the error first. I just spent another 3 hours with advanced technical support yesterday. They are completely baffled. They logged on to my-tmobile for me and couldn't do it. They say it's something wrong with their network. Thanks for all of your help, I'm leaning towards your earlier post saying "they wil never get this fixed".

What?

What email setup? You MUST enter THAT screen (pictured above) in order to enter the email setup (all this ON the PC, not the device itself).

So... what email setup are you entering? I don't think you and I and we are all on the same sheet of music here.

I'd love to see a screen capture of the on PC email setup you are attempting.

Ok, I think I understand what the OP is saying here. He has a blackberry and does have the blackberry data plan. Only his email isn't working. And I saw this happen with a friend's blackberry flip phone too. I verified that she has a blackberry data plan, and from the PC, tried to access the BIS webpage from tmobile. It wasn't there, and it was completely different than the BIS webpage that I have on my account. This was just last wednesday but she does have email coming to her phone. I tried to set it up on the website, and it seems like webmail, I can't be sure but I can tell you, it's not the standard BIS webpages. After a battery pull, the emails came in to her phone and has worked since.

Tmobile did something different, and it was plain as day. I'd bet my bottom dollar that's the problem with the OP's account, only he can't access it at all: no login possible due to a misconfigured account on tmobile's end.
