I lost the ability to send and receive text why???? My SMS icon is gone

Start here:
1st step to take if device is having problems? - BlackBerryFAQ

If that doesn't help, go into your Messages icon, press the menu key, do you see an option to Compose SMS?

If so, go to Messages > Options > General Options > SMS & Email = Separate. See if that brings the icon back.

In Messages, did you have the option to Compose SMS?

On the homescreen, press the menu key and select Show All, do you see the SMS icon hidden (Grayed out)?

Also, with receiving -- Go to Options > Security Options > Firewall, is there a check next to SMS or MMS?

Mine is gone also, tried all the above mentioned tips, but still no icon, and cant RECEIVE SMS.( I can send strangely enough tho)
Hoping for a fix without having to reload software.
Anybody have same issue?
