Can I not create ringtones from my music collection? I could on the older BB DM version that came with my 8830. I could go into the media manager and pick out, say, 25 seconds of a song and use that as my ringtone.

I know I can use whole songs, but I'd rather not do that as it uses up too much of my SD card, and I don't listen to music on my Tour. I do, but I use Pandora. I just want to create ringtones from certain portions of songs in my library.

If I can't do it with this version of DM, is there something else I can use?

Desktop Manager can't create ringtones from songs, but there are apps that can. This site can do it: Myxer - Make your own ringtones and more!

Yeah, I was talking more about Roxio Media Manager within DM. I was able to to it with an older version. I ended up downloading Audacity. It works well. Just took a minute to figure out all the controls.
