I don't want to install DM because it's a resource hog. I don't need to back anything up. I just need to pair to manage files. With my Nokia E71 I could pair it and then within Explorer I could simple drag/drop, delete, rename, and upload files to and from the device as well as the memory card. This was VERY handy and I miss not being able to do this. I'm running Windows Vista and will soon be running Windows 7 if that matters.

You don't need to use DM to transfer files if you have a media card installed and have enabled mass storage - just use your USB cable to plug in and you can manage files in windows.



You can pair the device with a computer via bluetooth but it's not a simple drag/drop situation in that case. You have to receive using bluetooth on the device and then transmit the file from the pc. It would be kind of a pain - you'd have to move 1 file at a time.

So basically I need to use the USB cable. There's no real good way to manage files via Bluetooth. That's the summary, right?
