Sounds like a dumb question but did you check in your instant messaging folder and not wherever it was before the update. Mine was in there and I had to look for it.

Exact same thing happened to me. It shows up as an installed app but the icon doesn't appear anywhere. App World for some reason is flaky at best when you are running v5 software on your handheld. What I did instead was take my browser to BlackBerry Messenger and installed from there. Worked perfectly fine.

Same here. It was showing as installed, but after a battery pull I could only see an icon for an archived version which would link me to App World to install it. After doing that, it would just be missing again until after a battery pull, which would just make the archived icon show back up. To fix it, I uninstalled the app and then used the OTA install from the blackberry.com website.

I found that a battery pull fixed many missing icons on my storm. i was also missing BBM 5.0, and also QuickPull. Once I did the battery pull, those icons showed up, and as mentioned earlier, it was an "archived" link to the App store to get the latest version.

Default I found a solution

I had 3 apps with this same issue. After my upgrade, they all appeared as "archived". After many reinstalls and uninstalls using App World, here is what worked for all three apps:

1. Delete (not archive) the applications using App World. Ensure they are deleted, not archived.
2. Reboot.
3. Re-add one application using App World. I doubt the order matters. The icon won't appear, yet it will appear in the installed list. You may be prompted to re-boot, if so, do so.
4. Follow the application's url link to do a non-App World install OVER the App World install. You will be prompted to overlay. Once done, again, you may be prompted to reboot.
5. Whala!
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each of the apps.

Now, if anyone has any idea why my screen goes blank and becomes unresponsive, I'd much appreciate it. Been searching forums for hours with no luck.
