I have the 8520 and have downloaded application world. The problem is when i open app world it says Loading..... and then comes up with the following error.

"Error trying to resolve"

what can fix this. I have deleted and tried to download it again.

Yes - unlimited data plan and have deleted the app and done the host routing table routine and all.

From your other thread, you need to free up some memory. Do that. See if you still have the problem afterward.

I just bought a 8520 also. I am using unlimited BB data plan with my ISP which is Singtel in Singapore.

However, I can;t install with the error saying that my phone does not meet the system requiremwnt for installing the App World. Does that mean hardware spec. or BB software on the phone? Mine is ver 4.1.6

Pls help me fix this as being able to use App World is one of the many purposes that I bought this phone.

Not all countries support it, and not all carriers in a country support it.

But then I have a http error saying it could not recognise the server.
I tried 2 times already.

Help please! Again, I checked with my ISP Singtel, they confirmed my BB data plan is activated. I then go to Singtel's BB Internet Service, add my 2 email accounts and register my device already. But I have not got any confirmation.

Will it be because my device has not been registered, so I cannot go to the above link to install the appworld???

Ok, my post about installing via BB browser, wasn't to you, it was nascanova (who posted just above my reply).

secondly, as I posted in reply to you, not all countries support app world.
I.e. its not available in all countries.

If singapore does not have Appworld available, I will defiintely sell my BB to get a Android phone instead.

I have checked in Download Appworld, confirmed :Singapore has free apps from BB Appworld available.

Again, I tried via PC, but when I clicked download with my BB connected to PC, the same error appears.

I have read a few threads about hitting this error, seems no solution of it.
I think Curve 8520 does not support App World.

You mentioned that you setup email accounts but these never made it to your device?

Yes, I setup the accounts using BB Hi-Fi, but it says my device is not registered. I then used the Advaniced Option, Host Routing Table and Register Now.
It says Register Send, but I got no confirmation.

Maybe it will come tomorrow?
