Ok...I tried the file from the site and the same thing happened.
One thing to mention is when I open app loader and press next to catch it before it goes through reboot...it goes to 'Device Application Check' and says "The system applications that are currently on the device are newer than those available with this version of the Blackberry Desktop Software" and gives me an option of...
1. Leave the system applications on the device unchanged. (Recommended)
2. Replace the device's applications with the older version provided by the Blackberry Desktop Software.
When I use the replace I get the "The system software is not designed for the connected device [A:0x00000043]" message. If I leave unchanged I get "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator"?

What I forgot to ask is why would it say that the applications are newer when I have wiped the unit with Jml_cmdr and BBSAK so it can't have any applications on it right?

The fact that it tells you its not for that device, keeps bringing me to the fact its NOT a 9550.
Under the battery there should be a sticker. Not on the rim under the cover, under the actual battery.
It should say what model number.

I know where you mean...it just doesn't have the model number??

It is the new model with no buttons on the bottom. It had Verizon screen saver when I bought it...I don't know what else to say?

Are you going through desktop manager, or using the loader.exe?
