Default Facebook and Windows Live won't work on BB 9700 Bold 2

Please Login to Remove!

Hi! First i am new here and also i am new at BlackBerry.

So my problem is that Facebook and Windows Live Mobile won't work.. When in FB i sing in it says "Data service is not available" and in Windows Live "Service is not enabled for this handheld" this is strange because i have unlimited data access, Google Maps works perfect and BB Browser works also perfect with and without WIFI connection. My operator is Sonera FI (Finnish). So if somebody could help or just give some hints i would much appreciate.

What MidnightDraven is asking is if your data plan is considered a BlackBerry data plan, or something else like a multimedia plan or internet plan. Does your data plan specifically mention BlackBerry e-mail/data or not?

My guess is that you do not have a proper BlackBerry data plan through your carrier. You should call them to discuss your options.

Hm... I was browsing the Sonera website (which was difficult considering I don't speak the language), but it appears that Sonera doesn't sell BlackBerries at all. Is this correct? I saw iPhones, Nokias, Android-based devices... but no BlackBerries.

Yes you are correct, they are all protecting Nokia.. Ill try tomorrow by calling Sonera and asking about BB's and let you know if i discover something.

Wirelessly posted

If they do not sell or handle Blackberries then I highly doubt they will be able to do anything for you. In order to get the necessary services books you have to have a BB Data Plan; they are sent to your BB by the Blackberry servers and are dependant on what services are offered by your carrier.

I am interested to hear if they can do anything.

Okay i phoned them and they said that they don't support BB and can't do anything about it.. Also i visited Saunalahti (also a finnish carrier) and they also said that they don't support BB and it's functions.

I got my Windows Live working by installing IM+ via computer : )
