Default help with settings. i cant dial the phone using the key pad anymore..

Please Login to Remove!

it seems that when i hit 'm' mom would come up now it says no address.
what did i do?

phone > menu > options > general options > dial from home screen . . . set to yes, if you want it that way

if you haven't already, consider that there are advantages to setting dial from home screen to no, particularly in that it allows use of keyboard shortcuts

I see I read the title to your post and neglected to read the post. I assumed too much.

When you press the "m" key, it should open the phone app starting at the top of a list of entries begining with m. If you then press the "o" key, the list should reduce to entries that have a first, last or company name beginning with mo. And when you then press the "m" key again, you should see only your entry for mom.

Is that not what happens? If not, see if your entry for mom is still in your address book. If it is, do a hard reset (with the power on, remove the battery for about 30 seconds).

thank you.. that worked.. now another problem....when i get a text message and i want to foward it .. i hit menu button hit forward and it goes to a screen that reade MMS: on the top line,second line reads personal, third line reads [use once] forth line reads *no address*

never did that before....
