Default Server settings User profile and Sametime

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user who logs onto Sametime 2.5.20 from her BB 9700 (firmware 351) with no issues. However she cannot save the password on this 9700 or any other. Other users are able to save passwords on her device. She was able to save on a 9000.

My guess is that there is a server side setting relating to her SameTime credentials which was not an issue with the 9000 (possibly a less advanced interface that does not check certain settings or one that did not have bugs).

I need to eliminate the possibility that the Sametime Client has quite simply just not been properly tested for the 9700 and that bugs or a new design interface have perhaps crippled the capacity to log on in certain circumstances. Does any body have any thoughts and also any experience server side as to which settings to check in Domino Directory profile, BES profile ,Application control policy settings? etc.

I can confirm problems with the 9700 and Sametime 2.5.20. We're a Verizon shop but I have a single user with an AT&T 9700, and he reports Sametime doesn't work properly, including showing the chat list, etc.

This is a frustrating aspect of BlackBerry support. With the myriad of handset models, OS versions and revisions, even amongst the same model, it's impossible to confidently predict what is going to work.

I guess I could look at server side, but it works fine on other models with BES settings as-is.

Thing is works on most of our 10s of 9700 users except for this one lady. Something has changed with the 9700 because the same lady with the same sametime profile has no problems when using a 9000. BUt I need to tie down what the issue is before I roll this out to 100s of users. Maybe an upgraded client will resolve this?
