this afernoon it seems to ahve been runing a bit slow. Also it has been hanging a bit when zooming in like pressing the I 2 or 3 times . It worked well yesterday. Will see what happens in the nesxt few days.
As far as being charged for it...i doubt it. It has been my experience that if i dont have to change anything in my settings then i wont get charged for it. I have downloaded the IM apps and in order for those to work i have to change WAP stuff and TCP stuff and that is where i incur my charges.
As long as i leave my BB at Default settings in terms of internet and TCP then i believe i will be ok. If i get charged i will be astonished.
I get to the point to "Get Started", the next choice should be Select Phone brand. I see phone brand - phone model - Do you have a data plan, but none are selectable? Any ideas?

I want to get this app to work bad! Anyone else getting a "network unavailable....do you have a data plan? blah blah blah error after successfully downloading and installing and then trying to run the app? Tried different emulations etc. Thanks.
I have unlimited data also..."downloading maps & info depends on a
network connection. do you have a data plan? how's your reception?
this program will retry automatically" is the error. All I can think of is that it is a policy setting on our BES.
When they ask "do you have a data plan", does that mean BES vs. TCP/IP? I couldn't imagine the service working without a data plan at all...
I answered Yes to the question, but I'm stuck on "Loading..." on the map. Did I download the wrong one? (I have just the regular BB Unlimited from T-Mo w/ no BES)
Edit: oh wait...it only asks that on a normal browser and not on the Blackberry...hmmm...

Has anyone tried TeleNav on a 8700? It says it can run on a few different non-Nextel BB including the 8700c & r. If I am reading it right, it would cost $10/month for service.
