Well, not applications apparently, since they do not show up anywhere in Device Manager. These are more like ads; offers to download the actual Blackberry or third party apps such as "Skype", "NFL Mobile" and "YouTube".
I talked to two different Verizon techs, but neither was helpful for this specific scenario. Apparently, since I have not done an actual install on these 'ads', there is 'nothing to remove' but there is also no way to delete them from the device menu, so I am appealing for help from this community.
Yeah, me too. I made a folder and put all the unwanted/undeletable icons in it and named it GARBAGE and then hide the whole thing. Slightly satisfying.
If it helps they push that garbage to the Storm 1.. I made a "verizonblows" folder and I put them all there.. since if you try to remove them the next reboot they show up again.. kinda shocked there is not more of a push back of VZW pushing things to your personal/business phone.
Same here, when i replace a phone, the first thing i do is make a folder called unused. It does seem to make me feel better. Plus gets the clutter off the screen.....
I named my crap folder something a little more mean in case it ever goes back to VZW. Just to let them know how I feel about them microsofting the BB OS.
these aren't the actual programs, rather an executable file of sorts that will grab the program and load it in your phone. It's no different than the AIM and Yahoo chat proggies that most of us activate and use. If you don't activate them the file occupies very little space.
Either hide them or load the icon into a folder within a folder and life is all good. Like Gloria Gaynor, you all will survive...
