Default BB won't delete from Gmail?

Please Login to Remove!

In the last few days, deleting messages from my BB doesn't delete them from my Gmail inbox. Or rather, it does - but Gmail doesn't show them as deleted. When I open a "deleted" message in Gmail (they still show in my inbox) it shows that it has both the "Inbox" and "Trash" labels.

Maybe this is a Gmail issue - but why would this be happening? Any ideas?

I also tried running without Gmail Labs - and it does the same thing. Could it be a BIS issue?

Nope, no luck. All I can think of is that it's something to do with BIS 3.0, or new features being added to it, which T-mobile may be rolling out now.

There have been errors with Gmail itself, so this might be one of those Gmail issues.

Have there been any further updates on this? I am getting the same thing - deleting a message on my BB doesn't delete it from Gmail.

Options are set to delete "on mailbox and handheld" with wireless reconcile on.

I'm using a BB 9700 with App version 5.0.0.680 (1149).

From what I have seen and heard, the 2 way gmail sync isn't there yet. Seems that there is some deletion happening, but it can be several hours after the message was deleted on the BB.

Keep in mind that it might also be a gmail issue.

It's not even two way sync - I'm just talking about the functionality that has always been there of deleting a message on the Blackberry ("on mailbox and handheld") and having it show up in the Trash when I go to gmail.com on my computer.

From what I can tell, it's a BB thing, specifically to do with later f/ws and the enhanced gmail add-in.

When I use my wife's 8900, all fine. When I use my 9700 or Storm 2 (with much newer f/ws), the problem starts - all deleted mails still have the inbox label, so are left in the inbox simultaneously.

Very very annoying.

I had the same problem on my bold but i think I figured it out.

Go to your messages box

Left click and go to Options.

Go to Email Reconcilitation

Under "message services" choose your gmail address

then make sure "delete on" is set to mailbox and handheld

then right click to get out and save.

Also make sure under personal email setup the checkbox to allow deleted items is synced.

Its weird I never noticed this option before so they must have just added it in the last few weeks!!

Sadly that's not it for me - I've had that checked since the beginning. I tried removing the enhanced gmail plug in app today and installing the old one - no luck with that either.

Very frustrating - now stuck with poor gmail on my berry, poor exchange on iPhone 4 (coming tomorrow) and no work support for Android which handles both pretty well....grr....!

Oops it looks like you already have those options checked. Sorry didnt read your earlier posts.

You might have to resend service books.

Or go the Blackberry Options, Advance Options, Service Book and trash the gmail [CICAL] service book. Then resend the service books again.

The first part of your solution has been there forever. I like to keep all of my mailboxes set to "prompt" so I can decide if I want to delete on the device or both.

The 2nd part feature has been there for some time. Not sure how long but before 3.0 was issued. The part that was new was the Synchronize "contacts" box. Be wary of this feature. People have reported duplication of contacts on their device.

There has been Google Sync problems in the last few days but for the most part they have been cleaned up. Your problems may have been related.

The same thing is happening to me with my yahoo and gmail account. However I've resent the service books and also deleted the emails and restored them, and I've also got them to delete at prompt and nothing seems to fix this isssue. Apparently its a blackberry issue.
