Default Blackberry not using BIS?

Please Login to Remove!

My apologies if this has been asked before/misplaced.

I have a Bold 9000, with a data plan and BIS (I'm paying £5 a month for it according to my online Vodafone account!). However when I try to use apps like Facebook or Blackberry App World I get messages stating that I need a data plan.
I have tried using the "register now" feature, but to no avail.

I was able to use these apps on my previous phone (I lost my Pearl), and the contract has not changed, just the phone and sim.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

Call the carrier. Make sure they have your phone registered. Have them resend service books to your device

Did you change the PIN in your BIS account?

You mentioned in your first post that you used to have a Pearl. PIN's are unique to each phone. So if you got a new phone(9000) then your PIN has changed.

UPDATE: I caleld Vodafone with my issue, and was put through to Tech Support. They asked me to delete my Service Books then they resent them to my phone. However this still does not seem to have solved my problem (They did ask for my PIN which I provided).

When they sent the Service Books, did you receive "Activation" email?

Yes I recieved those.

I think this is now FIXED, as I can now get on Blackberry App World now, whereas before I would get a message advising me I needed a Data Plan.

Then they probably updated your PIN to match your current device.

Good to know it worked.
