Can anybody tell me, how to set device password programatically?

Automatic password locking is already built into the BlackBerry OS. Once you set a password you can have the device lock itself after an amount of time you specify.

Options > Password, then set Security Timeout as you desire as well as other security options you'll see listed. No need for a separate program to handle this.

But I want to set the password programatically after certain event is happened in the device. Can we do this?
