Have the Storm on Verizon. I am getting daily updates on my desktop to install Blackberry 6.0 via the desktop manager.

Is the 6.0 supported on the storm? Does the install erase the existing contacts/e-mails?

OS 6 is not supported on the Storm.

Desktop Manager v6 is what you are being asked to update.

Device OS 6 is not Desktop Manger 6, two different things.

What is the benefit of updating? The Blackberry desktop slows my system to a crawl so I don't want to install/update if I don't have to?

Do you know what benefit it provides for the Storm (9530)?
