Unhappy Pretty frustrating problem- BB decides to reboot itself at random.

OKAY- here's what happened;

Last night, my phone was working fine. I put it to the side for a little while (no, it wasn't charging..but the battery was more than half full) and when I went to use it again, it shut off. It's been doing that recently but I didn't think it was a problem because it'd come back on and not do it again for a while. SO, anyway, it turns back on and I get that JVM error. D;

Because this happened, I plugged my bb into my laptop and ran the desktop manager to see if there was a way to fix it maybe..I saw that there was a new OS update...so, I thought maybe updating the OS would fix it, so I did.

THE FIRST TIME the bb turned off before the updating process was done but at least I didn't get the jvm error any more and it was able to load the OS...but as soon as I'd start doing things on it, it'd freeze, turn off to a black screen with the solid red LED light on. So whatever, I tried again. The SECOND TIME, the updating process actually finished BUT EVEN THEN, it did the same thing. Turning off at random.

I tried starting it again, and I did and I was able to turn it off myself. So now it's off, on the charger, with a solid green LED light. Does this means it's charging? Do I just need to wait a little while before I turn it back on again?

I've been at this all night, I don't know what else to do. :C

solid green light = charged.
flashing red/orange = charging.

The most common cause is the battery is losing contact with the connectors.
Putting a business card between the battery and the back case helps keep it in place.
Its an easy to try fix that may solve the problem.

I had the same problem. I tried the business card trick and it worked for a while. After time, began to creep up again.

I found 2 business cards were a little too thick and the battery door had problem shutting. I know have a business card and an index card taped together and then taped to the battery door. This had done the trick for me.
