I have been battling this issue for the last month. The problem is that it is hard to reproduce. About once per day if I open the camera to take a picture my storm 2 will flash to a white screen and restart the device. This takes several minutes to complete and then the phone works great for about 24 hrs.

I am using a Blackberry Storm 2 9550 with the latest OS released by Verizon. I have taken the phone back to Verizon and they replaced the device. I have flashed the OS several times and started with a clean OS.

I am also on my corporate BES and they have tried to trouble shoot many times and don't think the issue is with them. I think that it might be because this problem started with I was moved from the "Restricted Default Policy" to the "Personal Device Policy" which is less restricted. Since about that time I have had this issue. We can't seem to duplicate the issue when they are with me because it only happens when i really need to take a photo at an important once in a lifetime opportunity.

I need help from someone to troubleshoot this perplexing issue.

Its Possible RIM OS issue, I always had trouble once RIM releases an Update. I wonder how is their QA department. Usually breaks something that worked before.

We now think it is an issue with an application called Smart WiFi. There are a lot of users who have the same camera restart issue with this application. I have removed it and no more issue so far.
