Obviously have a curve 8520.
For the past several weeks it has randomly been locking up / shutting down (while making calls / apps / rebooting, etc). It needs to be connected to a charging device in order for it to actually turn back on. The battery indicator most of the time is 1/2 if not all the way full.
I tried the wipe with JL Cmd yet still having the same problem.
Other than shelling out a bunch of $$ for a new phone (that includes using the "insurance" I have on it)....any ideas?

Have you tried a new battery? Has the battery been run down past 20% several times?

Did the device get wet or dropped?

I'll borrow my wife's battery (same model) and try to see if that's the issue
like just about everybody, my phone has been dropped on an occassion or two, never been wet

side note...i've done several "battery pulls" for a minute or two....does keeping it out for 30mins really help (y or n)?

Generally 30 to 60 seconds is more than enough.
