Has anyone else have problem with their 7100g not being able to call from the Address Book from the main screen?

When in phone mode, you can call from the adress book. But when you're in the main screen and select Address book and select a contact to call, it doesn't call. It just sits at the phone screen.

Has anyone else have the same problem?

So, according to your posts, you have a 7100g and an 8700 that can not call from the Address Book. Sounds very odd to me. What key sequence are you using to try to dial from the Address Book.

That is correct. I support a lot of users. Most are on 7100r and 7100g. Since the 8700 came out, a few of them wanted to get those.

Two of my users 1 7100g and 1 8700 are having the same problem where when they are on the main screen and press wheel on the address book and select the user to call, it goes to phone mode and that's it. It does not continue to dial out. Instead, it just sits there.

If you're already in phone mode, press the wheel to select call from address book, and select a contact to call, that works.

On the 7100r, when you're in the main screen and go into Address book and select the contact to call, it continues to dial out for you.

I wanted to see if anyone else here had the same problem with their 7100 and 8700 series.

I suggest you reload the handheld OS on those BlackBerrys. I have never seen that problem before.
