Been using my 8520 with my Parrot Bluetooth Kit for handsfree in car for 2 years now - brill - no problems. Just updated to 9900 and whilst it actually works you cannot hear the 9900 voice dialling system voice very well (almost inaudible - when driving it is inaudible. Have tried going back to my old 8520 and it sounds fine so its not the Parrot kit thats the prob but as it stands I cannot use my 9900 in car handsfree bluetooth - can anyone help?

This link has a listing for various countrys. I cannot find any info on the issue that is related to the 9900 on the RIM site. Possibly the parrot support forum can offer assistance unless someone here has more info.

Are you sure your BT device supports the 9900?

The Parrot site does indicate support for a BMW but the car( model) type may be the issue as you indicate. I'm not sure but it does seem to be the issue.

Agree. Sounds to me like it doesn't support the newer device. The 9900 is BT 2.1, If the Parrot device is very old, it may not support that standard.

No, the Voice command voice prompts on the 9900 are notably low in volume, in Bluetooth mode.

I have the same issues on many Bluetooth headsets and in-car Bluetooth systems. They all support the 9900, but the voice command remains an issue with all of them. All other facets of the Bluetooth work - but voice command doesn't work as well. It will recognize the commands 85% of the time, whereas my 9780 was bang on every time.

Feedback volume was not an issue with the 9780 either.
