Default Water Damage

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

My Blackberry Torch 9800 fell into the sink, full of water two nights ago. Like an idiot I thought it would be alright and carried on with it, but like 10 mins later it died on me. I immediately took the batterie out and put both the mobile and batterie in a warm place for it to dry. The next day I went out and got some rice and put the mobile and bat in the rice. Tonight I tested the phone with my charger and to my surprise it turned on, but my keypad is not working and the trackpad doesn't respond when I have the phone in slidey mode (sorry for the expression) but when I have it on touch mode it works fine. I turned it off and placed it back in the rice.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do about the keyboard apart from just leaving it to dry some more ?

Grateful for all replys !!

Default Re: Water Damage

Drying it further won't help. The contacts have been damaged by the water causing short circuits. You better off replacing it. Back up your data while you still can.
