Default 7130e Phone Quality Question?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BB7230 looking to upgrade to 7130e with Verizon. How is the phone quality? I have heard many mixed reviews. NYC suburbs.

Phone quality is pretty good. I just upgraded to a 7130e myself (same area as you)

Thanks for the fast response. Very much appreciated. Phone quality and reception are critical since I work from home often.

It's hard to say for sure since I switched phones (from a tiny Panasonic GSM) AND carriers (from TMo to Verizon), but so far it's good. I can't hear myself talk in the earpiece which is a little different than I'm used to, and I have heard echoes a couple of times, but this is network I'm sure and not the phone. Overall I'd say good quality. But that will of course depend on your location.

I upgraded from a 7750 and found the phone quality on the 7130e to be MUCH better.

I find call clarity and volume to be noticeably better.

I second that. Speakerphone kicks butt too. It was 6 weeks before my wife realized that I used the speaker when talking to her.

Absolutely agreed - the speakerphone is exceptional.

If you're a Verizon customer, upgrade to the newest software that came out on 3/8. The bluetooth reboot problem is gone, and there are some other neat things as well.

Verizon's software upgrade finally came out? WOOHOO!

I just wish they had notified people a little more widely. :P

Now, does ANYONE know when BIS on verizon is going to be upgraded?

Wish I had better news on this, but from my Verizon contact it is not likely any time soon. They feel the current release is adequate. Maybe when Cingular switches over to the T-Mobile release Verizon might get the hint. Sure would be nice to integrate all your email into the BB using the From address.

Thanks
