I don't see why not, just get the jabber plug-in for trillian and everything else should be the same.

Are you on OS 4.1? There was a lockup issue with Yak On! and OS 4.1 , though it usually occures only when an IM comes in. We have a fix for that issue in the beta. The beta is available at http://www.yak-on.com/beta/ . We actually read and respond to our support emails so if you run into issues, drop us a line at [email address] and we'll work to help you out.

Thanks,
The Softcentral Team

I use it too. It serves the purpose. Plus, FREE! how can you beat that?

its like free pie and chips. I mean who doesnt want free pie and chips? its pie and chips for free! But pie and chips, you can get that anywhere. Ramble IM was designed especially for you.

I think Google talk on other IM clients has a way to get to be stable and reliable. I have it working, then it's not, then it is, then it's not etc... It's like a Dolly Madison pie with the dried up fruit filling, you can keep it even if it is free...

Well, using gtalk/jabber/gateway is inherently a tricky proposition because you're going through so many different programs to connect.

Not only is Ramble IM free, but other clients such as Yak-On tend to suck out the battery life much much faster. It's unfortunate that Ramble doesn't update the buddy list the way other clients do, but there's always a trade off. Until a native AIM app is developed for the bb, this is one of the best.

Long live Gecko!

T-Mobile users can download a free client OZ that has AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo! integrated in a single program. Add Google Talk and BB messenger and that should cover most TMO users.

Have not used OZ myself. Any people have experience with it?

OTA Link for 8700g. There is also a bookmark to it from the BB browser under the T-Zones links.

Link for 7290. Not sure if OTA works for this one.

There is a program for desktop pc called DEADAIM it does tabbed windows and AIM logging.

Does YAK also log your chats??

IM+ does chat logging which is a nice feature. But I really like that tabbed windows.

(we need an opinion poll on this- lol)
