Default My Worse 8700c Nightmare! (help)

Please Login to Remove!

Paid $400.00 flat (with free shipping) off of eBay today.

So far I have to get the unlock code to use my T-mobile sim card.

What else should I look to do?
I've been absent from the forum in a long while since before they canceled the 7290 forum page.

I've been seeing posts about about Bharti, 8700c Leather cases, Extended batteries and Zen themes,
....

What's a quick run down of things I need to do to start enjoying my 8700c on t-mobile?

Thanks Guys,
Delmarco

First apps I downloaded where Google Local Maps, SSH, Ramble IM, BlackBerry Messenger, WLirc (is a ***** to use though. so i don't use it), And then I made my little site to host media for the device.

anyways, enjoy your 8700 :D

Here's what I did:

1. Bought the Fortte case
2. Imported Palm data to new BB
3. Upgraded OS to .284 to get Zen
4. Downloaded bbweather and bbtoday
5. Read Stinsonddogs tutorial...

6. Dropped it on my kitchen floor and had to ship it to Canada for repair... (hahahahahaha... (lol) ... I'm patiently awaiting it's return... In the mean time I'm going through some serious withdrawal symptoms...

By the way, delmarco, what is your avatar actually saying? rat????

Wow, I hate to sound ignorant, but you can use an 8700 on T-Mobile? I have been waiting for them to get that model.

Is it supported? Any info would be appreciated.

Miles120 yes you can use an 8700c from Cingular on TMO network, but the phone has to be unlocked from the carrier to use. There are several services that provide unlock codes for a fee, if you do a thread search you will find an ample supply of information on what to do if you have an 8700 that you want unlocked. Or you can simply wait fot TMO to release their version of the 8700, according to several sources from this site and TMO themselves it is due for release the middle of April.

Default So Vexing! Waiting All Day For Adam's 8700c Unlock Code!

Anyone knows how long it takes for Adam to email back the unlock code to you after you pay him via Paypal at the http://store.gsmphonesource.com/reunforatcib.html website?

I paid this morning.

This is torture...I just want to use my BB already, and not just look at it!!!

Adam?

I was kinda hoping that the girl in your avatar was you - but judging by the hands in the picture you poasted I am waaaay off!

(If the avatar girl really is you, and you just have a horrible case of man-hands, then I apologize! )

That girl's picture shows up a lot in many eBay auctions selling cellular phone related stuffs (seller is in New York). Perhaps "delmarco" is that particular seller...

You should have your Unlock Code on or around April 17th.

I hope you vex less tomorrow.

Unhappy My Worse 8700c Nightmare! (help)

So you just paid $400.00 for your new 8700c wait 2 days for shipping and an extra day to get it unlocked. And now you get word that the IMEI could not be unlocked.

<weeping>

Adam said he didn't have a code for it is there anywhere else that anyone know of?

Don't say...
http://www.gsmlocker.com/blackberryunlock.asp
because I'm not paying $150.00 to unlock it.

I don't think Cingular will help me out since I'm a T-Mobile customer.

<weeping>

If Cingular had your code, you would have gotten your code from me today. Your only chance is to get it from someone who has access to RIM's unlock code database
