hey all i was wondering if on the box my/your 8700c comes in(the orange cingular/blackberry 8700c box) there is a number on the right side where the IMEI info is at the bottom just above where it says:
"Handheld Made in Canada
Accessories Made in Canada, Japan, China, USA"

is this number when the handheld was made? for instince the number on my box says "230106" does this mean my bb was made on 01/23/06? thank you.

I'm guessing that is the date, mine reads "270106".

180206 and 161205 for me, so it makes perfect sense (the '05 took a spill and was recently replaced with the 06)

Mine is 100206 - got it 2 weeks ago from Cingular online
