Noticed today that the 8700 is now gone from my area on the Cingular's sales site. The other BB's are still there. Wondering if something is going on.

Bay Area (I use 94564) as a zip

if you change it to list blackberry phones, you'll see that they only have refurb's.. apparently they don't show on the first listing..

Well,

If I go to the Cingular main page "http://cingular.com/indexc" there is a small link that wants me to buy the 8700. "Cingualr Exclusive" and all that. When click it, it asks again for my zip...and then takes me to the phone link, allowing me to buy it if I wanted. But still...the 8700 is not listed on the Phone and PDA's link...
Strange.

In 80027 (Colorado) you can only get a refurbed one.

Gone from the Cingular Website in San Antonio.

The other blackberry's that are listed are all refurb ones.

But on the front of the page I do see that same link that lets you have the option of putting on in your cart, just not listed on the phones screen.

There is obviously a reason as to why they have removed these from the internet site. There is no reason for us to post who has them and who doesnt. I am closing this thread. If a valid reason should emerge as to why the 8700 was removed from Cingular's site, the information may be posted in a new thread.
