Unhappy Blackberry thumb...

Please Login to Remove!

I've been using my 8700 for less than a week, and feel like I have developed carpal tunnel - or the equivalent - in my right thumb. Is this a known condition? Any advice from more experienced blackberrians? Help....

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You will get use to it. I don't use the scroll wheel much. Are you getting it from typing or scrolling? If it's from scrolling just hit the spacebar to scroll down. If it's from typing you might try a bluetooth keyboard or type a bit less until you adapt.

Isn't there another thread on this already? Could the mods please prune the threads a bit?

Why so hostile to the new dude? In the time it took you to type your response you could have actually offered him some assistance? A link to the other thread maybe? Just currious that's all.

Here are a few quickie shortcuts to help on the thumbs:

Spacebar to scroll down

Num or cap bar then spacebar to scroll up

R to refresh a website

B to go to bottom of page

T to go to top of page. That should save the thumbs a bit for now!

I personally use my thumbs on the board and use my right index thumb on the wheel as much as possible.

Here is another: when you want to click on a link do not do the whole click track wheel, scroll to get link, then click track wheel. Just hit the enter button while over the link!
