Has anyone tried or seen or is it even able to be done? an active backround for the Zen theme.

What I mean by active, is display a ticker or weather info, or a website... as the backround. With updated feeds.

As well, can you hide the sidebar icons when not used on the home screen?

Any ideas? Any one try this? Any one else wondering about this?

Zen does not allow you to display web pages as your home screen. In addition, since the web browser is the only environment in which the 8700 can currently display moving GIFs, you are stuck with static JPEGs for the Zen theme.
There is no ability to turn off the icons in Zen. Not yet anyway.

I have animated gif's saved on my bb....i can view them under pictures and they are animated....

So do I but you cannot set them as animated home screens though. And I think that is what the original poster was after.
