So i did the upgrade and my computer crashed in the middle of restoring my information and I didn't realize till i left my house it did that. CAme back and finished the restore (everything is all good) and then installed the new ALX still all good. But I tried to use YAk on again and it froze my bb to hell and for precautions sake I just deleted BBtoday or whatever that program is called. but it works nicely to say the least!

Well I broke down and upgraded again dammit!

I found a few things with zen:
At the bottom of the BB app there is a 'organize applications' option
Under messages settings there are a few options orphaned from the old home screen option - show messages and message count on home screen...

Im hoping to find the names on desktop option, Im willing to bet it is there or will be there soon!

What I found even better than the straight turn off option is the fact that you can set it just to turn off when roaming. If this works this will be very useful as some customers I have spoken to only want voice enabled while abroad (and previously this was not possible on some carriers)!!

for the record, for anyone else that has this issue, it's because the modified BlackBerry.alx file was not put into the installation directory - basically, there is no BlackBerry.alx file.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

After the upgrade things seem faster especially the browser which seems to load things much faster.

It seems to also have corrected an issue where my berry would drop off the T-Mobile network and register on Cingular network, even though the T-Mobile network was available and had decent signal.

(Me too, love the minor zen update)

Weird. I can't set either quick launch key to the address book, it doesn't appear in the list. Am I looking in the wrong place? Options -> Screen/Keyboard -> Convenience Key? Or are we talking about something different?

Nope! Browser, Calculator, Calendar, Call Log, Cribbage. No Contacts or Address Book!

Guess it doesn't matter much, since I like the way the two buttons are arranged now. But it's certainly odd.

OK something strange happed. I changed to the Voda theme and went back to the Zen theme and now the contacts entry is no longer there.

Once you go Zen, you can NEVER go back. Zen is very jealous. It doesn't like you stepping out like that.

this is really frustrating, I cannot pick what items I want listed on my home screen using Zen. I have it set correctly, and I do it the same way as everyone else, it just won't work though. :(

Are you hiding AND moving the ones that you do not want and leaving the ones that you do want shown and at the top of the list. (and in the order that you want them to be)
