BB Connect basically gives you the same functionality as BES 3.6 customers have - wireless e-mail and calendar. No wireless sync tasks, notes or contacts.

I'm pretty happy with the draft. But the Jets will still be awful for a few years.

For people who don't have an assistant (or some other person) who puts in tasks, notes, or addresses, it's really not that bad having to connect once in a while to do a sync...since most people are either at their desk and able to sync with Outlook, or are away and therfore not inputting anything in Outlook.

As long as BBConnect does email, everything else is just a minor inconvenience of setting up and configuring, then absolutely miniscule to connect when you sit down at the computer.

Just my $0.02 worth

Sorry for my newbie question as well... I see a lot of discussion regarding to Blackberry Connect and BES. Does it work for BIS as well?

The latest BB Connect devices -- such as the Nokia E61 and E62 -- do have BES 4.0 functionality. This is as per RIM's BB Connect specialist at CeBIT in March.

So BBC (Palm specifically) will not allow web access ?

If it does, can anyone offer some insights on getting it set up. I have email and calendar, no problem, but can't seem to get the internet access to work.

I have an m600i with BES enabled and working fine for calendar and email. My issue is that by enabling calendar through BBC on the m600, I can no longer synchronise Outlook Tasks via USB/desktop sync. Outloook Notes are fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.
