Default Push files to device with BES 4.1 - OTA wireless

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I need to push wirelessly a file (text file) to BB device.
Text file located in server machine.
Without connecting device via usb cable, I want to push this text file to BB device.

I already install BES 4.1 with MDS service and I am using MS exchange server. I already registered (enterprise activativated) two devices under BES.

Pls let me know is this possible (push text file to device wirelessly).
If so, can anyone guide me……

Thanks

If you have email on your blackberr, send as an attachment in an email. If you try to set it up as an "OTA" transfer, it must be the proper type file.

Don't mean to hijack the thread - can I ask what the purpose is of pushing a text file (or any file) to a device? We're a pretty basic shop - 80 Blackberry users reading their Exchange email. What are the uses/benefits of MDS push?

hm.. Ekrimmer,
If we can push text file, it leads for pushing .jad, .cod, .ppt and .doc files to device.
Instead of that we can push url location to device.

as 1st step i need to push txt file....
