Sorry, I think you're out of luck. If you're connected to a BES you can ask the admin to send you a new password......

Yes, put in the password wrong 10 times.... or if the device OS is 4.x, go into Security, and then there is an option for Wipe Handheld (have to click to see it).

Wiping the data does NOT wipe the password.

You are out of luck. The password is permanent on the device.

I just did the pasword wrong ten times on a test device and it wiped the password.

That's good to know because I just password protected my BB. If I lost it there is just too much personal information there. I can also answer the phone without unlocking.
