I removed the battery but this did not do it. Is there a key function that I can do?

Removing the battery did not reset the 7130e? Are you sure?

Removing the battery is the only way to reboot a 7130e.

Yes, pulling the battery will definitly reset the BB. If you want to actually wipe it out and start fresh go to Options->Security Options->General Settings-> Click trackwheel -> Wipe Handheld
