Default 8700c reception vs. 7130c

Please Login to Remove!

OK. I have an 8700c and like how it works as a Blackberry but really don't like it as a phone. People tell me there's an echo and others say it sounds like I'm in a tunnel. When I have a Bluetooth headset connected, there's a constant crackle and a pathetically short range.
How does the 7130c perform as a phone? I know I'd be giving up the QWERTY keyboard, but I really don't want to carry two phones.
Thanks in advance

I honestly am having a much better phone with the 7130c I have not had any complaints about the sound quality.

i have zero complaints about sound quality. No one I talk to has ever mentioned anything unlike when I used my Treo 650/Sidekick/Nokia.

Very good sound quality. Perhaps not as clear nor as loud as certain Motorola NEXTEL offerings, but very good nonetheless. Recommended. Keep in mind that audio quality is largely dependant upon signal strength as crackle is a sure sign of signal interference.

I have better reception and voice quality on my 7130 versus my 8700.
