Default Thanks for your support

Hi ryno4youth,

I forgot to mention when our next release is – sorry about that. We are looking to release V2 of JiveSlide in January 2006 (Mid Month). That being said hooking up other photo sharing sites will happen in stages. We just finished support for Flickr, (requires new download), and we will be integrating others like phanfare between now and when we release V2. Supporting all kinds of data sources will be the strong point for JiveSlide and that is what we are looking to do.

I am glad you are excited about JiveSlide and I will give you a heads up prior to release of supporting phanfare, [perhaps you can help beta test ].

Take care,

Eric

Beta testing sounds good to me. As you noticed, I am a professional photographer, and I am always looking for great ways to access my thousands and thousands of pictures. Thanks again.

Default another online photo storage service?

This is a great tool! Any way to also add www.kodakgallery.com (this was formerly www.ofoto.com). This is what most users I know upload pictures too as their online photo storage service.

Thanks,
Dave

Default Support for Kodak EasyShare

Hi DaveC,

We have been looking into www.kodakgallery.com and support for that. We will be adding support for several data sources in January and we hope that the integration of the Kodak Easy Share will be part of it.

I am really glad you like JiveSlide, and if you want you can be a Beta Tester for the Kodak support prior to launch. Post back here and I will add you to the list.

Cheers,

Eric

This is an INCREDIBLE application. Started playing with it today, and I loaded my Flickr sets - I am AMAZED.

So easy, worked perfectly. Now I don't need to separately load pics to my blackberry - brilliant. I would love to help beta test-

Default Thanks - you are on the list!

Hi Lee,

I am really glad you like JiveSlide – as for being a future Beta Tester – consider yourself on the list. I will send you a PM once we are ready for the next Beta pre-release.

The next version will be cool and will hopefully make you stop and think of your BlackBerry in a different way – we have some cool tricks – just have to try them out first!

Cheers,

Eric

Default Where is that V2 version at?

Hi inversed,

Where is the new version? Well I could make up a corporate stalling excuse but I would rather be honest. We got swamped with other work that was paying the bills so I had to slow down my development team and shift resources around. We are looking to start Beta Testing saving images next week and then integrate the private folders a few weeks after that.

Also we did not think that JiveSlide would take off like it did – we have had over 3,000 application downloads and have developed a very active user base already – I could not be happier with how things have turned out and I don’t want to release anything until I know that it is adding value and is really stable.

Thanks for your patience and your feedback!

Cheers,

Eric

I'm excited to try JiveSlide. It sounds like a great program, and I have multiple albums in Yahoo! Photos to use with it.

I downloaded the software today (7/15) and tried to open it. I continually received the error, "Connection test failed! Bad http response code: 400.

I tried deleting the software and reinstalling, but got the same error. I'm on T-Mobile using an 8700g. I'm a BES user on OS 4.10.284.

Any help would be appreciated. . .

Thanks

Default BES configuration issues

Hi cnicklo,

If your BlackBerry is part of a corporate BlackBerry Enterprise Server setup you may not be able to use JiveSlide. JiveSlide requires that native TCP connections be established and some corporate configurations do not allow for that to occur.

I am sorry about that – we have been looking into ways around that but so far with the current version there are issues.

Thanks,

Eric

Default Disable MDS Proxy?

Have you considered adding an option to disable MDS proxy as a way for those on BES to use JiveSlide?

I've downloaded BBWeather and can use it by checking "Disable MDS Proxy" in the options menu. This is the recommended solution for BES users, and it worked for me.

I'm not a programmer but thought I'd pass along the idea in case it would help you make the program available to more users.

Thanks,

Chris

Default Error: 302 Found

Hi -- I just installed JiveSlide on my 8700g. JiveSlide workes fine with my flickr account. However, when I try to access my Yahoo Phote account I receive the following error message:

Error: 302 Found

Looks like JiveSlide is not working with the new Yahoo Photo Beta.

Default Yahoo Photos Beta

Hi HJK,

Thanks for the feedback on the Yahoo Photos Beta. We have looked into the Yahoo Photos Beta and are in the early stages of figuring out a way to work with it.

Thanks,

Eric

Has anyone been able to get this to work using Sprint? It gives me a 401 error when I try from my 7250 and my 8703e.

I'm having the same problem.

Connection test failed!
bad http response code: 401

It worked for a while then I started getting the error.
I reinstalled it and it worked for a while again and then stopped.
Now a reinstall does nothing, I just get the error.

I've seen a few people with this problem. Has anyone found a permanent solution to this.
