Default Better voice quality---7130c or 8700c??

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a current 7130e customer on Verizon. My company has just standardized on Cingular. Before I take the plunge I wanted to get a sampling of what the forum members believe has the better sound quality 7130c vs 8700??

I have the 7130c now and had the 8700 before. As far as I can tell the sound quality seems to be comparable. I like the 7130c due to size more than anything else.

I had the 8700c and am now trying the 7130c. I think the vocie quality on the 7130c is better. Its clearer and people on the other end aren't telling me that they get echoes or it sounds as if I'm in a tunnel. I also think the bluetooth connection is better. When I used the 8700c in my Acura, I got a lot of static and crackling.
I think I'm going to keep the 7130c.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I work for Cingular, so I use a lot of phones. The 7130 is has the best sound quality of almost any other phone available.

I had the 8700c and could not use it because of sound quality problems. The background noise was just terrible. I now have the 7130c and am really happy with phone--voice quality is great.

To be fair, there seems to be some disparity of answers based on location (and perhaps the individual device?) Do your best to try both before buying. Try and find some people who have them already.

ditto, ditto, ditto. The 7130 is SO much better voice wise than the 8700. My 8700 is going to eBay. I do miss the full QWERTY a little, but am pleasanty surprised by suretype.

Default 7130 sounds better!

Sounds like the consensus is the 7130 has better voice quality than the 8700.
Thanks for the input!
