1. One last time syncing to outlook BEFORE you activate, is necessary. Otherwise, PIM data you added after your last BlackBerry Desktop sync and before wireless synchronization got enabled, will never get synchronization. However, if you never added any new PIM data during this time window, then you don't need to connect to BlackBerry Desktop for sync again.
2. I have noticed this too. I think Mailstreet has Notes synchronization disabled (I could be wrong). You may want to use Mailstreet's live chat support to see if they can pull it off.
