Default 7100i Disassembly

I'll start from the beginning and get to the question.
At work, I spend a fair amount of time in our tool room (machine shop) fabricating parts that I've designed for various applications. Lately, my speaker phone has been sounding like the speaker is blown. After close examination, I find that there are a ton of metal shavings, small enough to have gotten through the screen, collected around the edge of the speaker obvisously affecting the sound quality.
I successfully removed the covers of the phone, but the screen is attached to a gasket which is held on by adhesive. I'm afraid if I remove it, it will never be the same.
Now, finally, the question. Is there any other way to get to the speaker without removing the screen?

Thanks

If you take the black backplane off, you might be able to get some canned air in around the speaker from the back side, but I'm not sure you can get it apart any further than that without needing new parts.

I thought about trying to blow them out, but...1. It would take a pretty good blast to get them away from the magnetic field. 2. I don't want to end up blowing them into the cone and damaging it. That would kind of defeat the purpose. 3. I don't like the idea of scattering a ton of metal shavings throughout the electronics. At least they are contained where they are.

If I can't get around pulling the screen off, does ayone know where I could get just the screen? I've seen several places where you can buy the entire case, but not specific small parts.
