i got the BB client (3.31) installed onto my M600i & got it started & did the whol setup thing..its works perfectly fine here in Mumbai, India on AIRTEL network.
The only thing i dont like at all is that once i got it setup, all my 7 email account came onto the phone as 7seperate POP3 emails setups.
Is there anyway that i can have all my 7 pop3 new emails to arrive in one folder like on any blackberry phone?
This is very irritating having to check all the boxes to see where my new mail has come into...
if this cannot be solved, i'm going back to my blackberry phone..
I think is the the flaw of BIS 2.0, or has blackberry intentionally done this, so people buy their handsets.
this happens on an non blackberry phone.

I know it's a long story, but can anybody give me a hint? I'm using T-Mobile Austria

I have this exact same problem, have you found a solution? Additionally, my BES server says:
"Status": Running
"Last Contact Time": Never
IT Policy Status: error

Please don't ask questions about IMEI changing.
As for flashing it, Sony Ericsson provide software to upgrade the firmware yourself via their website, alternative take it to a Sony Ericsson Service Centre.

QECU, I solved my problem. The sis file that I had installed wasnt compatible with my network (Telenor). They sent me a new sis file named slightly different (SIGNED_blackberry_R1A33_V3_31_LILY_BUILD2_localis ed_PROD.sis) it seems to be the same version. But now it works just fine.

Hi Zulan, I still couldn't solve my problem and I do not get the software from my provider, cause they do not support this phone so far. I tried the software from the same provider but a different country. Also not successful....but io will not give up until I find a solution ;o)

The only bit of researching I had to do was getting internet connectivity working - I tried all the manual configs I could find and to no avail, but I got it working and here is a few things that may help folks:
- I am an old ATT Wireless customer, which means that unless I get a new GSM card for their Media something service you need to have the mMode service activated for your number. mMode unlimited is about $24.99 a month for unlimited internet activity.
- I couldn't get the manual internet settings to work for nothing, and I tried the auto config service from the main Sony's site, but it didn't seem to like sending a config SMS message to a US number. But I did find this site which does send the config and now the internet WORKS!
sonyericsson.wdsglobal.com/worp/ota/wholesale.tt/sem/wap?step=phone.vm&contractId=12&siteLanguageId=249 &captchaEnabled=true&phoneId=1189
Anyone that is interesting in the manual config reply to this post and I will get it off the phone and post.

m600i_lover,
I just got the M600i and am having difficulty configuring WAP settings. I used the autoconfig from SE from the main and world site.
I am on the Cingular network in NYC. Can you please help me configure the settings manually?
Thanks,
Jay

Did anyone tried the new firmware and if it works with BB connect 3.31 ?
Did BB made a new version of the BB Connect to fit the new firmware ?
Thanks

Hi cychan,
May I ask where did you buy your M600i in HK? I have asked a few service providers but they advised me that the phone is not yet ready for BB Connect and better wait for an updated version. Seems they're not too sure the phone can work properly with BB Connect.

m600i and BB connect
I upgraded my firmware to the R9a002 version. And my BB connect stopped working. I had to update to the latest 3.37 BB connect .sis file. Now it works again.
I am on T-Mobile in the US. And this is of course not supported by them, Blackberry or Sony Ericsson in any way. But it works just fine, and I am very happy.
Latest BB connect .sis file (as well as latest BB SE connect desktop version 2.1.1.12 can be found on secentral.net:
- SE Symbian Phones - New Forums Inside
- UIQ 3 (Moderator: joe)
- BlackBerry Connect for P990i and M600i

Ok I've just got this working for a user on O2 in the UK on a 4.1 BES. Took a couple of hours of fiddling though..but to get it working we upgraded the phone to the latest firmware (R9A002) via the SE update s/w (does anyone else think this is a really nasty app?). then installed the 3.37 version of the client from here
BlackBerry Connect for P990i and M600i
and once we started the client were prompted to register it on the netwok which pimped the pin code from a 00000 to a regular pin. Then connect to the desktop start the desktop manager sw, generate keys and bobs your uncle. took about 5 minutes once we had all the correct s/w up and running. Note that there is some serious code-signing or o/s checking going on so trying to install the 990i client on the m600 doesn't work. Nor did previous versions of the app (3.28 - didn't test 3.31 as once found this thread went straight to 3.37)
Now off to wrestle with the same on an HTC device.

Hopefully this hasn't been answered in too much detail yet.
I am living in the US and want to buy and use this phone on Cingular's network. Now I see some information that says it doesn't support the 850 band and I guess that worries me. How do I find out if I can use this. And how do I find out how to set this up? Do I need it unlocked? Will it come out in the USA at all or am I gonna have to get one this way? Any infor here is awesome. And the stuff I read through on this thread somewhat answered some of my other questions so I thank you in advance for anymore help.
