Default Moving Images from Device to Desktop

Please Login to Remove!

Did a search but mostly turned up advice on moving images from desktop -> device with gtphoto or ascendo but what I am trying to do is save some images which came over from MMS onto my desktop. I can't seem to forward the MMS as an email to my desktop, the 'pictures' application doesn't offer me any options of emailing the image either. Any advice?

No responses because this can't be done - YET.

Ignoring 3rd party apps (none of which work well for this application), the only way to get a picture onto the BlackBerry is through email or by saving it from a Web page within the browsers. Once a picture is in the device's Pictures app, the only way to send it anywhere is through BlackBerry Messenger - but that doesn't address your question.

That said, there is a "Media Manager" that comes with Desktop Manager 4.2, but it only works with the Pearl/8100 at this point. It MIGHT work with other devices once their firmware is upgraded to 4.2, but other than the 8700 I haven't seen any notices for other devices slated to get this version.

Drat, this is what I feared. Well, looks like I'm going to have to use MMS to send the mssage to another phone which can do bluetooth file transfers and get the files off that way. Thanks!

Moving Images from Device to Desktop
I use BBScreen (do a search) to copy my BB images to my desktop. Any image sent to my BB I open the attachment, zoom it move it around, then use BBScreen to capture it to my desktop. from there I can use many tools to change it to JPG from BMP. It captures it at abt 7meg and looks as good as the original image usually

The 8700 does not work either. Tried to move using the Media manager and as stated above , looks like it needs 4.2

Try saving to the BB Photo Album, then open and send it by email to your desktop.
