Default good weather app?

Please Login to Remove!

Just tried loading BBWeather and it does not work. When I start up the app it says no weather code found, but at the same time wont allow me to enter one then it just sits and hangs.

Anyone know a good weather program out there besides this one?

Installed GoogleMaps and love it! Probably will erase the bbmaps one.

Don't know if it's not full function enough for you, but have you tried the Push Weather available on the blackberry.net page through your bb browser? It pushes an update to you, and then when you click the message takes you to a full week weather forecast.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Bbweather is one of the better ones. Are you attempting to use it on an 8100?

Yep, can't seem to get it working. Installs fine then when I go to the menu to use it I get an error about no profile set and it just hangs. The phone then needs to be turned off to exit it. Any ideas?

I was under the assumption if I had the the 4.2 OS it would work fine.

don't do that, BB Maps is sweet. I just hooked up to my bluetooth GPS puck in about 5 minutes. Works flawless. Used it to give me turn by turn directions all the way home. A free NAV program from Blackberry - that is a bonus!!

Still cannot get BBWeather to work on my 8100. I thought maybe it was a problem with my tcp settings so I want in and added those to my phone (wap.voicestream.com for me with tmobile) and that didn't solve the problem.

Any have any luck with this on theirs? I get an error there is no profile then it hangs the phone totally...

Default BB Weather..

One of my favorites...I can't get it to work either. It locks my 8100 too. I can do an alt-esc and get back to the home screen but the BB Weather app is totally hung. Anyone figure anything out yet?

As soon as it starts, it will say "no profiles found".

Press the Pearl button - DO NOT PRESS ANY OTHER KEYS - and you will get the Options screen.

It works..

frankly, I found it easier to bookmark a page on wunderground.com - zoomable animated maps are better anyway ;)

I tried to use the BBweather on my 8700g. I entered the location ID (USCA0915, even thought i do not live in that city, but it is the closest one to where i live) and I still get the error

"Error: Cold not find a service book entry for IPPP". I wonder what went wrong and how I can fix it.

Thanks NJB. I finally got it...while I didn't realize it at the time, that's what I did. It apparently doesn't like the menu button right there. It's working now...thanks for the help.

Thankfully someone posted this in another thread; I was having problems getting it to work on one of our Pearls.
